7月30日(水)、高山市役所にて、関係自治体及び関係団体ワーキンググループ会議を開催しました。
会議後は、高山市中心部に位置する築140年を超える町屋「村半(旧村田邸)」を視察しました。
「村半」は、伝統的な建築を保全しながら、地域の未来を担う若者たちが活動、交流できる拠点として、整備された施設です。
地元の木材を使った家具や置物が配された空間は、地域の歴史と文化を肌で感じられる、温かみのある場所でした。
建物を単なる保存ではなく、さまざまな年代の若者の交流を生み出す「生きた場所」として活用する、高山市の取り組みを学ぶ貴重な機会となりました。

On July 30th we held a working group meeting in the Takayama City Hall, with related municipalities and groups.
After the meeting we visited the townhouse Murahan (former Murata-tei) located in central Takayama City, which was built over 140 years ago.
Murahan is a facility that, while protecting traditional architecture, serves as a hub for young people shaping the region’s future, to gather and interact.
Furnished with locally source wooden furniture and ornaments, the space offers a warm atmosphere where visitors can experience the area’s history and culture.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity to learn about Takayama City’s initiative to utilize traditional buildings not merely for preservation, but as a “living space” fostering interaction among young people of various ages.
