福井県勝山市平泉寺町にある池ヶ原湿原で活動を行っている「池ヶ原湿原保全・活用協議会」が、2025年4月に「未来に残したい草原の里100選」に選定されました。
「未来に残したい草原の里100選」は、美しい草原の風景を次世代に残すことを目的とした国内初の取組みで、2022年度から始まりました。
これまでに3回の選定が行われ、全国で合計53か所が選ばれています。
第4回となる2025年の選定では、新たに4か所が追加され、そのひとつとして池ヶ原湿原保全・活用協議会が選ばれました。
白山ユネスコエコパーク内では、池ヶ原湿原保全・活用協議会（福井県勝山市）の他、菅沼（富山県南砺市）・相倉集落（富山県南砺市）が既に選定されています。

Ikegahara Wetland Selected for Japan’s “100 Grassland Villages to Preserve for the Future”
The Ikegahara Wetland Conservation and Utilization Council, which is active in the Ikegahara Wetland in Katsuyama City, Fukui Prefecture has been selected as one of Japan’s “100 Grassland Villages to Preserve for the Future”. This initiative, which began in 2022, is the first in Japan focused on preserving beautiful grassland landscapes for the next generation. Until now, three selections have occurred, with a total of 53 locations being chosen. This year, in 2025, the forth selection took place, and an additional four locations were chosen – including the Ikegahara Wetland Conservation and Utilization Council.
In the Mount Hakusan Biosphere Reserve, in addition to the Ikegawa Wetland Counservation and Utilization Council (Katsuyama City, Fukui Prefecture), Suganuma (Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture) and Aikura Village (Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture) have already been selected.
