6月21日（土）に、白山ユネスコエコパーク協議会後援事業として、石川県白山自然保護センターとNPO法人環白山保護利用管理協会が共催で「オオバコ除去in市ノ瀬」が開催されました。
白山登山の拠点である市ノ瀬園地は、多くの登山者が利用する駐車場です。
白山国立公園内への外来植物の侵入を防ぐため、毎年この時期にオオバコ等の除去作業が行われています。
当日は、外来植物除去の必要性を学ぶ紙芝居の後に、参加者の皆さんが専用の道具を使い、熱心に作業に取り組まれました。
オオバコ 39.40kg、ヘラオオバコ 9.52kg、ブタナ 0.13kgの外来植物が除去されました。

Invasive Plant Removal Activity Held Prior to Mt.Hakusan Climbing Season
On Saturday, June 21, the Ishikawa Hakusan Nature Conservation Center and the NPO, Association for Conservation of Circum-Hakusan Area, jointly held the “Asia Plantain Removal in Ichinose” event supported by the Mount Hakusan Biosphere Reserve Council.
Ichinose Park, Located at the base for climbing Mt. Hakusan, is a parking lot used by many climbers. To prevent invasive alien plants from entering Hakusan National Park, the removal of asia plantain and other plants is carried out every year around this time.
On the day of the event, after a picture-story show on the necessity of removing non-native plants, participants worked diligently with special tools.
39.40 kg of asia plantain, 9.52 kg of ribwort plantain, and 0.13 kg of cat’s ear were removed.
