大野市と勝山市にまたがる六呂師高原には、県内有数の湿地性植物の生育地である池ヶ原湿原があります。この湿原では、絶滅の危機に瀕しているミズチドリ、トキソウ、カキランなどの貴重な植物が見られます。
しかし近年、湿地性植物の生育を妨げる植物の繁茂が課題となっています。そのため、池ヶ原湿原では平成26年からボランティアの皆様による湿原保全活動を実施しています。
今回は、下記のとおりオオハンゴンソウ（外来種、生育力が旺盛で湿地性植物の生育地を奪う）とハンノキ（湿地で生育する落葉樹、日光を遮り湿地性植物の生育を妨げる）の駆除作業を行います。
湿原の保全作業にご興味のある方、自然の中で身体を動かしたい方など、どなたでもお気軽にご参加ください。皆様のご参加をお待ちしております！

Announcement: Ikegahara Marsh Conservation Work
The Rokuroshi Plateau, straddling the cities of Ono and Katsuyama, is home to the Ikegahara Marsh, one of the most important wetland plant growth areas in the prefecture. This marshland is home to a variety of valuable plants, including the endangered Oriental dotterel, crested myrtle, and oyster orchid.
In recent years, however, the growth of wetland plants has become an issue due to invasive plants. For this reason, Ikegahara Marsh has been implementing marshland conservation activities by volunteers since 2014.
This time, as described below, the volunteers will be removing the giant alder (a non-native species that grows vigorously and takes away the habitat of wetland plants) and alder (a deciduous tree that grows in the marsh and blocks sunlight, thus preventing the growth of wetland plants).
Anyone who is interested in marshland conservation work or just wants to get physical in nature is welcome to join us. We look forward to your participation!
